Are we all crazy ... Or is it just the a dream?

I am not ashamed to admit I went to therapy yesterday (always much needed) as I have since I was 4-5 yrs of age (rough childhood). Whether we admit it or not, life is stressful and it can consume you if you let it. My therapist recommended some new things for people with stress, anxiety and depression (which somehow all tie together). See below:

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction by Jon Kabat-Zinn (audio)

Dream Interpretation by Clarissa Pinkola-Estes (audio)

Creative Fire by Clarissa Pinkola- Estes (audio)

Has anyone ever used these? Have you ever done meditation, relaxation therapy or guided imagery? If yes/no what are your thoughts on this?

I'm eager to try these out, but won't be narrowing them until 2 weeks from now, so insight will be great and I will also share as I use these as well.

The turkey lost his balls...now what?

Turkey Meatballs Recipe:

2 lbs ground turkey (you can use beef)
1/2 cup diced fresh mushrooms
1/4 diced purple onion
3 Tbsp parsley
2 large eggs
1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350.
Line 2 cookie sheets with aluminum foil.
Spray aluminum foil with nonstick spray.
Make 1 1/2 to 2 inch meatballs. Place on
Cookie sheets 1/2 inch apart. Bake in oven for 20 mins or until center temp reads 160 degrees.

Now these can be used any way you wish. Meatball subs, spaghetti and meatballs, stroganoff, etc. You can use any sauce; depending on your chosen dish.

Freeze unused meatballs did a later dish or place in air tight container in fridge for 24-48 hrs max (freshness counts with taste).

ENJOY.

Chicken to Chin Ups

Hello everyone. A little about me ... my name is Kate (Katie, Katherine, Kat, mom, wife, daughter, sister, etc.)

I'm 32 years young. Some days I feel 18 others I feel 90, but I guess that's a part of life.

Some of my favorite things: running, cooking, obstacle races, working out, mountain biking, camping, fishing, being outside, hanging out with my daughter/husband/friends. (And many other things) but since I work the Baylor program (longggggg weekend and 1 weekday) I don't get a lot of time to do some of the things I love.

I'm pretty passionate about health, wellness, nutrition, fitness, spirituality and all the fun things between. I thought it'd be best to blog it, live it, share it, and hope it all hashes out in the end.

I've been a nurse for 7 years and each day it gets a little more interesting.  4 1/2 yrs spent in the hospital acute care setting doing orthopedic, bariatric, medical surgical nursing. 2 1/2 yrs in a residential treatment facility for kids aged 8-21 with mild MR and psychiatric disabilities.

I hope you all will enjoy this blog as much as I will. This is the first time I've ever blogged, so I hope not to horrify anyone with my blog virginity while I begin the journey.

Please feel free to add input, ask questions, share ideas or just say HEY!
